Biography
Lori Glenn '87, '12 began teaching at the McAuley School of Nursing in 2007 in all levels of the Nursing program and is currently director and faculty of the Master's Entry Advanced Generalist Nurse (MEAGN) program. She completed her BSN at Mercy College of Detroit in 1987 and her DNP in the inaugural class at Detroit Mercy in 2012. Dr. Glenn is a practicing nurse midwife and an active member of the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Dr. Glenn enjoys gardening, reading, walking and creative pursuits. She believes Detroit Mercy is a great place for students and faculty to share the learning journey, incorporating the values of social justice, service to others, spiritual engagement and ethical development. She strives daily to educate students to become safe, competent nurses who make meaningful contributions to the health care system beyond the bedside.
Glenn's research interests include holistic admissions to nursing school, simulation and caring practice.
