Men's Basketball Head Coach Mark Montgomery is a former Detroit Mercy assistant coach and was most recently an assistant coach with the Michigan State University men’s basketball team. He has a proven success record building winning programs and recruiting the top talent in the state of Michigan and beyond.
In just her second season, Women's Basketball Head Coach Kate Achter completely transformed the program leading Detroit Mercy to a 17-16 (9-11 HL) record during the 2023-24 campaign, marking the first winning season since the 2016-17 season. The 12-win improvement over last year was the biggest turnaround in school history and one of the top in the nation as the Titans won just 19 total games the previous six years combined.
